2D Artist / Illustrator

We are seeking a skilled and passionate 2D artist to help our team on enhancing our already existing game, Warsaw.

Your responsibilities will include creating high-quality illustrations, developing in-game character assets, backgrounds, and UI elements, collaborating closely with the development team to ensure that your artwork integrate seamlessly into the game.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their expertise in illustration, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and understanding of the gamedev pipelines.

This position is a fully remote freelance, with project being on deadline at the end of May. This position will require fast and regular delivery of assets pushed further into production pipeline as soon as they're ready. This position doesn't offer royalties, with either a monthly quota or per illustration payments (up to negotiations)

Responsibilities:

• Creation of high quality 2D assets to enhance the Warsaw game
• Providing assets to be turned into animated illustrative cutscenes
• Providing assets of in-game characters and vehicles, exporting them cut and ready for animation (Spine)
• Preparation of 2D GUI assets
• Collaboration with art director and dev team
• Being timely delivering the deadlines

Skills and requirements:

• An online portfolio of your artwork for our review
• Willingness to adjust to predefined artstyle
• 2 years of experience as 2D artist in gamedev, illustration or similar position
• Good fundamental illustrative skills, especially in composition and posing
• Working in software compatible with .PSD
• Keeping an order in the source files - especially naming layers and groups
• Good communication skills in Polish or English languages

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with WWII in Poland: equipment, clothing, props and architecture

Compensation:

• PLN 5000+ net a month or
• per illustration/assets rates
