Senior Technical Artist

We are Mighty Koi Studio, located in the center of Warsaw.
We’re actively working on an extremely ambitious indie premium (AA+) title set within an established IP. The project is a narrative-driven Third Person Action RPG that is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and will be released on multiple platforms; PC and next gen consoles.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to maintaining an efficient art pipeline; from concept art to game ready asset implementation, directly into the engine
• Coordinate with the code team and constantly seek improvements to our technical processes, come up with potential improvements for asset creation, strive for automation
• VFX production,
• Support all creative departments in need of your expertise
• Optimization of assets; levels, materials, lighting, post-processes and VFX
• Prepare specialized assets (fluid simulations, destructible meshes etc.)
• Creating and maintaining the Tech Art guidelines and documentation

Required Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of experience in similar position in the video game industry
• Know Unreal Engine 5 in and out, great technical skills
• Good knowledge of the rendering pipeline
• Knowledge of 2D, 3D and animation packages and pipelines
• Knowledge of materials logic, pipeline and best practices
• Knowledge of UE5 VFX logic, pipeline and best practices
• Ability to fast prototype TA features, solutions and pipelines
• Familiarity with optimization techniques, profiling and real time performance
• Familiarity with physics logic or physical engines is a big plus
• Familiarity with Houdini
• Great communication skills, so you can teach and mentor artists and collaborate with other teams
• Fluent speaking and written English
