Game Designer

Robot Gentleman, the independent games developer known for the atomic dark comedy adventures 60 Seconds! and 60 Parsecs! is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Game Designer, to join our studio on-site or remotely in Poznań, Poland.

You are:
• An open-minded, creative person
• Eager to engage in unique, weird, and independent projects that you won’t find anywhere else
• A dedicated gamer who is interested in the design, technology and cultural significance of games
• A professional game developer with a passion for indie games

So far you have:
• 3+ years of experience working in a game design position on commercial projects
• Shipped at least two commercial games
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Written game design documents and design documentation that were used in production
• A drive to learn, improve your skills and adapt to new challenges

Your skills include:
• Proficiency in game design, implementation of game design, and game balancing
• Technical implementation of game features using internal and external editors, tools, and scripting.
• Prototyping game mechanics from scratch, as well as incrementing existing content
• Adept at visual scripting, and mind mapping
• Ability to work very independently and assume responsibility of game features or a wider scope of game content
• Adept at supporting production in planning and outlining the broader project scope
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas
• Knowledge of the games industry, modern gaming hardware and current gaming and software development trends
• Fluent English (minimum C1) - in speech and writing

It would be an advantage if you:
• Have experience designing and implementing games for console and/or mobile platforms
• Held a design lead position in the past
• Practical experience with the Godot engine
• Have experience with console or non-desktop platforms
• Have wide-ranging knowledge of gaming trends
• Developed sense of colour, composition, typography, and aesthetics

What we are offering:
• Full-time, on-site or remote position in an office that is a part of the game dev/creative collective Pyramida Hub in the centre of Poznań
• Contract form negotiable
• Salary starting from 8-12k PLN (net) - individual salary proposals will depend on your skills and experience
