Technical Game Designer

Robot Gentleman, the independent games developer known for the atomic dark comedy adventures 60 Seconds! and 60 Parsecs! is on the lookout for a talented and experienced Tech Designer, to join our studio on-site or remotely in Poznań, Poland.

You are:
• An open-minded, creative person
• Eager to engage in unique, weird, and independent projects that you won’t find anywhere else
• A dedicated gamer who is interested in the design, technology and cultural significance of games
• A professional game developer with a passion for indie games

So far you have:
• At least 2 years of experience working in a game design position on commercial projects
• Shipped at least one commercial game
• Experience working on game design, implementation of game design, and game balancing
• Experience in programming and scripting languages (C#, Lua)
• A drive to learn, improve your skills and adapt to new challenges

Your skills include:
• Ability to analyse complex issues in game design implementation
• Ability to diagnose, communicate and solve technical issues in game implementation
• Proficiency in utilising integrated game development environment (Godot), and specific frameworks (Monogame, SDL etc.)
• Ability to translate design specifications into functional game features
• Writing and maintaining documentation related to design specifications and tooling, to be shared in a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and work collaboratively with other team members, including game designers, programmers, artists, and QA
• Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
• Fluent English (minimum C1) - in speech and writing

It would be an advantage if you:
• Have experience working closely with engineering teams and building a bridge between design and programming departments
• Have knowledge and skills using visual scripting tools
• Experience with the Godot engine
• Have wide-ranging knowledge of gaming trends

What we are offering:
• Full-time, on-site or remote position in an office that is a part of the game dev/creative collective Pyramida Hub in the centre of Poznań
• Contract form negotiable
• Salary starting from 6-10k PLN (net) - individual salary proposals will depend on your skills and experience
