Mighty Koi Studio is seeking a Lead Narrative Designer to join our team and work on an ambitious Soulslike game built in Unreal Engine 5.4.

If you're passionate about creating deep, immersive worlds and stories that captivate players through atmospheric narrative design, we want to hear from you!

Your Role:

• Lead the narrative vision for the project, ensuring a cohesive story that aligns with the game’s dark, atmospheric tone.
• Collaborate closely with the design team to integrate story and gameplay, specifically in quest design and player interactions.
• Oversee the narrative pipeline, from concept to implementation, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Provide clear direction and feedback to writers, ensuring all dialogue, lore, and narrative elements meet high standards.
• Work alongside level designers to create immersive, story-driven levels that enhance player experience.
• Analyze and adjust narrative content to improve pacing, tone, and engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Lead Narrative Designer or similar role in the gaming industry, preferably with Soulslike or action RPG projects.
• Strong understanding of narrative pipelines and processes, from concept through to execution.
• Expertise in quest design, with a focus on creating engaging and meaningful player experiences.
• Ability to critically assess and guide the work of writers and other narrative team members.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5.4 or similar tools is a plus.
