dla Glass Cannon Unplugged sp. z o.o. w Polska

Praca stała Zarządzanie

Greetings, Wayfarer! ⚓

Please take a seat and listen to my tale for a moment.

We are Glass Cannon Unplugged, and we’ve made some noise with our initial projects:

Frostpunk: The Board Game and Apex Legends: The Board Game. But our journey doesn’t stop there! We're currently working on tabletop adaptations of Dying Light, Don’t Starve, and Diablo, with more exciting projects to be announced soon.

However, even the best ship can’t sail on its own. To face player expectations, navigate the complex waters of game design, and discover treasures in the world of crowdfunding, we need a brave and loyal crew.

We are looking for a Product Owner to join us! 🚢

Job Description 🎯

We are seeking a visionary Product Owner to lead the creation and development of innovative board game adaptations of renowned video games. You will be responsible for creating the product vision, testing game prototypes, evaluating their mechanics and playability, and suggesting improvements to the creators, all within the project’s specified timeframes.

Your tasks will also include actively searching for interesting board game prototypes on the market and establishing contacts with their creators. Strong communication and decision-making skills are essential. You will collaborate with designers, developers, testers, sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders, including licensors and brand owners.

Key Responsibilities 🎲

  • Oversee the entire production process from prototype to final product, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality outcomes.
  • Identify and establish relationships with board game designers.
  • Organize internal and external tests of prototypes for mechanics, rules, balance, and playability.
  • Provide constructive feedback to creators on tested prototypes, highlighting strengths and weaknesses, and suggesting specific changes and improvements.
  • Evaluate the market potential and quality of games, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Negotiate and set terms of cooperation with designers.
  • Work closely with licensors, development, graphic design, and marketing departments.

Key Qualifications 🧩

  • Proven track record in a similar role, with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Good knowledge of current trends, game mechanics, and key players in the market.
  • Experience in testing board games and evaluating their appeal.
  • Experience in coordinating projects from prototype to final product.
  • Ability to conduct constructive discussions and negotiations with creators.
  • Strong decision-making and judgment skills combined with excellent work organization.
  • Fluent in English (C1 level or higher, both spoken and written).
  • Initiative and commitment.

Nice to Have 🎮

  • Experience as a Game Designer or Game Developer.
  • Experience working with licenses and approval processes in the creative industry.
  • Knowledge of Tabletop Simulator or similar software.
  • Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms.
  • Previous experience with asset approval platforms.

What We Offer 🏆

  • Salary: 8,000-14,000 PLN gross (depending on experience and skills).
  • Employment contract or B2B, based on your preference.
  • LuxMed healthcare and Multisport.
  • Garden, BBQ, and chill area.
  • Flexible working hours with the option for remote or hybrid work.
  • Conveniently located office (ul. Korfantego 34, Wrocław - 7 minutes walk from the Krzyki terminus).
  • A vast collection of board games, RPGs, card games, and more available at the office. 😊
  • Mandatory gaming sessions at work!
  • Discounts at the local board game bar Awaria Prądu and game stores.

We’d Love to Hear from You! 💡

Instead of a cover letter, we’re more interested in your passion for games. Share with us a game idea you’ve had, a mechanic that came to mind, or a role you’ve played in a similar project—anything that shows your love for board games! 🎲
