Dark Passenger is an independent, polish game development studio, founded by the co-creators of The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and numerous indie titles. Our mission is to craft captivating, long-lasting multiplayer experiences that inspire and engage new generations of players.

We invite you to join us in developing a fresh and edgy multiplayer stealth-action PvPvE game set in the troubled times of feudal Japan. If you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of gaming and want to be part of a dynamic, innovative team, Dark Passenger is the place for you.

Duties:

  • Creating drafts and blockouts of locations for competitive multiplayer FPP game
  • Designing small and large, multi-story structures (interiors and exteriors)
  • Designing rich and complex open-world sectors combining architecture and nature
  • Creating solutions fully supporting advanced combat and parkour movement
  • Designing sections for interactive NPC’s (including creating paths and workspots)
  • Working in constant cooperation with other members of the team

Requirements:

  • Experience in Unreal Engine 5 (good understanding of tools and methods)
  • Advanced knowledge of Level Design principles
  • Good understanding of competitive multiplayer games (especially the factors that influence competition, cooperation and exploration)
  • Ability to build complex blockouts (from tight interiors to large and open exteriors)
  • Good understanding of player behavior, habits and playstyles
  • Proficiency in chosen 3D modeling software: ability to create blockout assets
  • Good communication skills, ability to work in collaboration with others and within deadlines
  • Proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • English language skills (we communicate in Polish/English)
  • Nice to have:
  • Experience working on First Person Perspective games
  • Experience working on Multiplayer games
  • Good understanding of architecture, composition, color theory and lighting
  • Experience with third-party software tools and plugins

Our Offer:

  • Fair salary: 6000 - 12000 PLN, based on your skill and experience
  • Yearly Bonus: participation in 10% of the revenue from game sales after game release
  • Preferable form of the contract: B2B, UoD, UoP
  • Private health care
  • Extra budget for courses and workshops (including access to GDC vault)
  • Flexible working hours (core hours: 10 am - 4 pm)
  • Preferable working method: stationary (in our cozy studio located in the cultural heart of Warsaw, Poland), or remotely
  • 26 vacation days, regardless of your seniority or type of contract
  • Although we avoid overtime, we value it at 150%/200% (working day/weekend)
  • Working with an experienced, dynamic team, in a friendly, respectful environment
