Join Our Team as a Mid/Senior Programmer!

About Us:
Purple Ray Studio is an independent game development studio, formed by a team of experienced developers. Following the release of our first game, Boti Byteland Overclocked, we are now working on a new, stylized project with a darker theme.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled programmer to join our team and help bring our designs and ideas to life in a new game!

What you’ll do:

• Work on all aspects of the game from the programming side,
• Collaborate with other departments to implement designed game features,
• Write coherent and maintainable code,
• Optimize and debug the game to ensure high performance and stability,
• Maintain and further develop existing systems and solutions,
• Create tools for design and art teams,
• Mentor and assist other programming team members.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in gamedev programming and at least 2 shipped titles,
• High proficiency in C++
• Good knowledge of Unreal Engine 5,
• Good knowledge of Unreal Blueprints system,
• High efficiency in teamwork and high proactivity with given tasks,
• Proficient English skills for smooth communication with English-speaking team members and for reading documentation.

Nice to have:

• Experience in leading code reviews,
• Profiler and optimization expertise,
• Ability to effectively plan tasks and prioritize according to project needs,
• Experience in indie gamedev,
• Experience in graphic programming (in UE)
• Experience with levels’ randomization.
