Technical QA Engineer
Creating a great game requires talented people across all departments. That’s why, for our Warsaw office, we’re seeking a skilled and driven Technical QA Engineer to help ensure the stability, performance, and quality of our first upcoming game. You’ll play a vital role in debugging, testing, and supporting the team, all with the goal of delivering a top-notch gameplay experience for players around the world.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain game stability, investigating and reporting crashes and performance issues.
- Debug and profile game systems using Unreal Engine tools like AI Debugger, Gameplay Debugger, Unreal Insights, and more.
- Analyze call stacks, logs, and Blueprint behavior to identify issues.
- Create and execute test plans to validate gameplay functionality and edge cases.
- Verify builds across configurations (editor, cooked, platform-specific) and report platform-specific bugs.
- Support developers by resolving issues in Continuous Integration (CI), pipelines and build systems.
- Enhance automated testing workflows with tools like Gauntlet and Unreal Automation Testing.
- Manage bugs and generate reports using Jira and JQL.
- Stay up to date with the latest Unreal Engine tools, techniques, and features
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ years in QA as a part of an in-house development team.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine debugging tools (AI Debugger, Gameplay Debugger, Unreal Insights, Output Log).
- Strong knowledge of Blueprint debugging and performance profiling.
- Familiarity with the editor and cooked builds, platform configurations, and CI systems.
Tools Expertise:
- Advanced Jira and JQL skills for bug tracking and reporting.
Core Strengths:
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and a detail-oriented approach.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools.
- Console platform deployment, debugging, and certification compliance (e.g., TRC, TCR).
- Familiarity with Gauntlet, Unreal Automation Testing, or other automated workflows.
- Code-level debugging using call stacks, logs, and attaching to processes in Visual Studio.
