We are looking for a 3D Artist to join an entirely new team based in Poland, focused on co-developing titles within the Snail Games USA portfolio.
In this role, you’ll collaborate on an exciting variety of projects, including both well-established IPs and new titles. You'll have a unique opportunity to be part of the studio’s growth and influence its culture from day one while working on creative, dynamic projects with passionate teams from other parts of the world.
Job Duties
- Modeling: Create high-quality models with an understanding of gameplay constraints, form, proportion, texture creation and detail that enhance immersion and gameplay.
- Asset Cleanup and Optimization: Refine and optimize models for performance, ensuring compatibility with rigging, animations, and Unreal Engine requirements.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed checks on all assets, adjusting or refining models as needed to maintain consistency and quality.
- Pipeline Integration: Work closely with the Technical Artist to integrate completed models into Unreal Engine, ensuring they are ready for rigging, animation, and AI behaviors.
- Documentation and Feedback: Receive, provide and seek out detailed feedback from and to peers on model requirements, standards, and revisions to maintain a consistent style and quality across all assets.
Requirements
- Experience in Modeling: 3+ years as a 3D modeler for games.
- Unreal Engine Experience: Proficiency with Unreal Engine, with a preference for experience in UE4/5 or earlier versions.
- Skill in Asset Optimization: Strong skills in optimizing models for performance, ensuring they are efficient without compromising quality.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for quality, ensuring models meet aesthetic and technical standards set by the core team.
- Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for working with animators, technical artists, to ensure seamless asset integration.
- English Proficiency: Good written and verbal English skills to enable clear communication.
Bonus Requirements
- Experience with Survival Games: Familiarity with the creature design needs in survival games like Ark or Atlas, particularly with the modeling requirements in these settings.
- Modkit Knowledge: Familiarity with Ark or Atlas Modkits for asset integration and customization within the game’s environment.
