Dark Passenger is an independent game development studio, founded by the co-creators of The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and numerous indie titles. Our mission is to craft captivating, long-lasting multiplayer experiences that inspire and engage new generations of players.

We invite you to join us in creating a fresh and edgy multiplayer stealth-action PvPvE game set in the turbulent era of feudal Japan, featuring intense first-person combat, and a complex parkour-inspired movement system. Duties:

  • Leading a Gameplay Design team in close collaboration with the Programmers team
  • Designing, prototyping, integrating and documenting game mechanics, systems and development tools in a FPP/TPP game developed in Unreal Engine 5
  • Work within the framework set by the Gameplay Director
  • Expanding, analyzing and balancing existing gameplay systems
  • Proposing original solutions that fit into the vision of the game
  • Active cooperation with other teams

Must-haves:

  • One or more commercial games shipped
  • Previous leadership roles in the game projects
  • 5+ years of experience in GameDev as a tech/game/gameplay designer

Requirements:

  • Exceptional team leadership abilities
  • Deep understanding of multiplayer game mechanics and limitations
  • Ability to diagnose, communicate and solve technical issues
  • Proficiency in Unreal engine and visual scripting (Blueprints)
  • High independence and ability to work within deadlines
  • Highly developed communication skills and proactive, positive attitude
  • Good knowledge of English language for team communication B1/B2

Nice To Have:

  • Experience in developing multiplayer games
  • Basic knowledge of C++ and understanding programming patterns
  • Preferable working method: stationary (in our cozy studio located in the cultural heart of Warsaw, Poland).
  • Interest in-game market trends

Our Offer:

  • Fair salary: 16000 - 20000 PLN, based on your skill and experience
  • Yearly Bonus: participation in 10% of the revenue from game sales after game release
  • Preferable form of the contract: B2B, UoD, UoP

  • Flexible working hours (core hours: 10 am - 4 pm)
  • 26 vacation days, regardless of your seniority or type of contract.
  • Although we avoid overtime, we value it at 150%/200% (working day/weekend)
