We are looking for a Previs Artist (Film VFX & AI Focus) to join an entirely new team based in Poland, focused on co-developing titles within the Snail Games USA portfolio.
As a Previs Artist, you will leverage your film VFX expertise to create shot lists, AI-generated backgrounds, and other previsualization materials for vertical shorts, game trailers, and in-game cinematics. Working closely with directors and the VFX team, you’ll transform concepts into production-ready visuals that bring ideas to life.
In this role, you’ll collaborate on an exciting variety of projects, including both well-established IPs and new titles. You'll have a unique opportunity to be part of the studio’s growth and influence its culture from day one while working on creative, dynamic projects with passionate teams from other parts of the world.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualization & Previs: Develop shot lists, mood boards, and animatics using AI tools and traditional previs methods.
- AI-Generated Backgrounds: Create and refine AI-driven environments or backgrounds to be composited into final media.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, game designers, and visual effects teams to ensure creative alignment.
- Technical Integration: Integrate AI outputs into established VFX pipelines, assisting with compositing and editing where necessary.
- Iterative Process: Receive and address feedback on visuals, adjusting shot composition, pacing, or lighting to meet the project’s narrative needs.
- Documentation: Maintain clear records of workflows, tools, and techniques to streamline future production processes.
Requirements
- Film VFX Experience: Proven background in film or TV visual effects, with experience in previsualization or concept development.
- AI Skills: Familiarity with AI generation tools (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, or similar) and integrating AI assets into traditional VFX pipelines.
- Software Proficiency: Knowledge of key VFX software (e.g., After Effects, Nuke, Maya) and editing/compositing tools.
- Storytelling Sense: Strong understanding of cinematic composition, pacing, and shot flow.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent English skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Adaptability: Comfortable iterating in a fast-paced environment with shifting requirements or tight deadlines.
Bonus Skills
- 3D & Animation: Experience creating simple previz animations or blocking within 3D software.
- Scripting & Tools: Basic programming knowledge (Python, MEL) to automate or customize AI pipelines.
- Game Engine Familiarity: Exposure to Unreal Engine or Unity for in-game cinematic work.
We offer you
- Competitive salary.
- Chance to work on great well-established and new IPs in the international environment.
- Working in the on-site / hybrid / remote models.
- Benefits and possibility of relocation support for foreigners aiming to work onsite; including private health insurance, and general assistance with settling.
