The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Technical UI Artist to help drive the implementation and optimization of user interface systems in our next major title. You’ll be a key bridge between UI/UX design, art, and engineering—ensuring that our UI not only looks stunning but performs flawlessly across devices. This role blends artistic craft with technical execution and is crucial to delivering a high-quality, responsive, and immersive player experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement performant, scalable UI systems in close collaboration with UX designers, UI artists, and engineers.
  • Integrate high-fidelity UI assets (layouts, menus, icons, animations) into the game engine while maintaining visual and functional integrity.
  • Create reusable UI components, templates, and interaction systems that support fast iteration and scalability.
  • Optimize UI performance for mobile and cross-platform builds, ensuring fluid responsiveness and minimal resource usage.
  • Troubleshoot UI-related issues in engine and support teams with debugging and asset integration.
  • Help define and maintain best practices, pipelines, and tools for UI asset creation and implementation.
  • Collaborate with tech art and engineering teams to ensure seamless asset handoff and implementation.
  • Contribute to UI motion, transitions, and VFX to elevate usability and polish.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical UI Artist, Technical Artist, or UI Implementation Specialist in games.
  • Strong understanding of UI systems, performance optimization, and data-driven UI frameworks (Unity UI Toolkit).
  • Demonstrated experience integrating and implementing complex UI in a game engine environment.
  • Strong eye for visual fidelity, motion, and user experience.
  • Proficiency with UI authoring tools (Adobe Suite, Figma, etc.) and game engine pipelines.
  • Knowledge of scripting (e.g., C#, Blueprint, or similar) to support technical implementation.
  • Experience working on mobile-first.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially across disciplines.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience on AAA-quality games or high-profile mobile titles.
  • Experience with large-scale IPs or licensed games.
  • Background in shader creation, VFX for UI, or technical art tooling.
