What is this internship program all about?

By joining TSG as an intern, you’ll become a full-fledged member of the team, which means that you won’t just be learning for three months, you’ll also have a real impact on our products. • Have you played around with Python and SQL enough to feel confident with the basics?
• Do you enjoy digging into data and uncovering what it’s saying?
• Do you like taking ownership and getting things done without being micromanaged?

What will you be doing?

• Helping in identifying opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions;
• Taking part in selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques;
• Participate in feature planning and contribute to shaping the game's future;
• Share insights with the team and propose process improvements.
• Taking part in retrieving and preparing data from SQL databases (PostgreSQL / HP Vertica).

What are we looking for?

• Coding skills, especially knowledge of Python; BS/MS degree in Computer Science/Math or currently studying for such a degree;
• Basic knowledge of SQL;
• Knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.);
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks;
• Self-reliance, self-motivation, and problem-solving skills;
• Fluent in Polish and high-level English (at least B2);
• Student status - nice to have.

Piece of advice:

It’s worth taking a moment to think about which role suits you best. Applying for several positions at once doesn’t really increase your chances. In fact, it might make it seem like you’re not sure what you’re looking for.
