About Litio Games
Litio Games is an ambitious indie studio based in Turkey, passionately developing Minutes to Midnight, our first online co-op PC horror title. Our game delves into psychological and supernatural dread, inspired by the grounded realism and unsettling atmospheres of films like Hereditary, The Conjuring, and Mama. We are dedicated to building a believable world where every element contributes to a deeply immersive and terrifying player experience.

About the Role
We are seeking a talented and imaginative Hard Surface Concept Artist to join our team on a contract basis. You will be instrumental in designing the unique and eerie "agency tech" props that are central to our game's narrative and gameplay. These aren't your typical sci-fi gadgets; they are functional, purpose-built items designed by a stretched-thin but powerful secret agency, reflecting believable real-world mechanics with subtle, unsettling twists. Your concepts will bridge functionality with atmospheric storytelling.

What You'll Do

  • Design & Illustrate: Create compelling and original hard surface concepts for key in-game props and equipment.
  • Aesthetic & Functionality: Focus on grounded realism, ensuring designs are both believable in function and contribute to the game's dark, unsettling tone.
  • 2D Concept Development: Produce clear, production-ready 2D concepts including: (1) Lineart sketches showing all critical angles and perspectives necessary for 3D modeling. (2) Color sketches with detailed material references and callouts.
  • Technical Consideration: Design concepts with an awareness of in-game camera placement and target poly budgets (approx. ~5K triangles for final 3D assets).
  • Collaboration & Iteration: Actively participate in collaborative feedback sessions with the Art Director and wider team. Typical timeline for a key concept is 3–5 weeks. We expect a minimum of two feedback iterations via online meetings, scheduled at or near our core hours (GMT+3 time zone).
  • Clarity for Production: Your primary focus will be on creating designs that are not only visually compelling but also perfectly clear for our 3D modeling team.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Hard Surface Concept Artist with a strong portfolio showcasing realistic and functional designs. We are specifically looking for portfolios that demonstrate similar works and aesthetics to what we've described.
  • Artistic Skill: Exceptional understanding of form, function, and materials, with an ability to infuse subtle unsettling elements into grounded designs. -Communication: Excellent ability to translate ideas into clear, communicative 2D concepts for 3D artists.
  • Software Proficiency: Strong command of industry-standard 2D art software (e.g., Photoshop, Painter).
  • Collaboration: A proactive and highly collaborative mindset, eager to engage with feedback and contribute to a shared vision.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently within a remote team structure.

Technical Environment

  • We work with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Concepts should consider optimized asset creation for low-to-mid end PCs.
