Superkami is a fully remote studio led by industry veterans. In 2021, we set out to create "Sengoku Dynasty," a cross-genre survival-builder set in Feudal Japan. In August 2023 we released the game into Early Access, in November 2024 we reached another milestone – the 1.0 launch, and in August 2025 the game was released on consoles.

We're currently looking for a talented and driven senior programmer to join a small, agile team, working on a new historical survival-builder game awaited by a large community of devoted fans. Be there from the start – and help us shape a new classic!

Role

Designing and implementing complete gameplay systems from initial concept through to fully functional, multiplayer-ready features
Building solid, scalable code architecture and gameplay frameworks
Developing and maintaining multiplayer systems, including replication, synchronization, and performance optimization
Working closely with designers and other departments to ensure technical solutions align with gameplay vision and integrate cleanly with the rest of the project
Proactively proposing technical solutions and improvements across gameplay and engine systems
Writing clean, robust, well-documented code
Sharing knowledge, best practices, and insights with the team

Requirements

Strong C++ skills with the ability to architect and implement complex gameplay systems and tools
Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 4 or 5, including components, replication, subsystems, and the production pipeline
Experience developing multiplayer features in at least one released project
At least one shipped UE4/UE5 game
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with self-drive and confidence in making independent technical decisions
