Operating as a fully remote company, we also have physical offices in Tel Aviv and Krakow, uniting exceptional talent from across the continent to create world-class gaming experiences.
Responsibilities
This role is centered on the accurate and efficient execution of systematic asset configuration and integration tasks within the Unity Engine and our custom editor tools. Characters will be the central focus.
- Systematically import, configure, and finalize character assets (meshes, rigs, animations) into reusable and stable Unity Prefabs.
- Attach and configure necessary Unity components and custom scripts to ensure correct character behavior and functionality.
- Create, configure, and maintain character-specific Animator Controllers (Mecanim), including setting up states, transitions, parameters, and ensuring the correct linkage of all required animation clips.
- Set up and verify character-related visual and audio events, such as particle effects, VFX triggers, and sound cues, ensuring they activate correctly during sequences and animations in our custom timeline-like tool.
- Perform focused, process-driven quality checks to ensure all configured assets meet technical specifications, performance standards, and the required visual fidelity before final delivery.
- Adhere rigorously to established configuration documentation and guidelines, and constructively flag pipeline issues or necessary process improvements to the Technical Art Lead.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate who is process-oriented, reliable, and has the practical skills to jump into asset integration workflows.
- Basic to intermediate hands-on experience with the Unity Editor, specifically its asset import pipeline, Prefab system, and component-based workflows.
- Fundamental understanding of character asset structures (meshes, rigs, materials) and experience working with Unity's Mecanim (Animator Controllers).
- Proven ability to execute detailed, repetitive tasks with high accuracy and maintain consistency across a large volume of game assets.
- A demonstrated strong work ethic, commitment to ownership over assigned tasks, and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- 0-3 years in a game development setting, or equivalent strong personal/educational project experience demonstrating practical Unity skills.
- Ability to present a portfolio or project samples showcasing practical configuration work within Unity (for example, a character setup demonstration or similar) is strongly desired.
- Basic proficiency with at least one DCC tool such as Blender, 3ds Max, or Maya for inspecting models, UVs, and skeleton setups.
- Ability to work with textures in Photoshop or similar tools. Checking channels, assembling masks, preparing textures for import.
- Understanding the basic principles of real-time rendering: stages of the render pipeline, shader and material workflows, impact of geometry and lighting. Experience or familiarity with mobile graphics specifics: performance, API limitations, texture optimization, and effects.
