Job Description

Our mission is to continuously raise the quality of 3D animation in games and the film industry.

Bones is an animation studio specializing in motion capture and 3D character animation. As one of the largest performance capture studios in Europe, we work on numerous AAA games and several film productions. We also develop internal R&D projects, which are currently our main focus—developing AI and robotics datasets for some of the world’s largest technology companies.

We are looking for a person passionate about Motion Capture technology who wants to develop their skills and gain experience working with advanced performace capture systems.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of Motion Capture technology
  
• Experience working on movie or photo sets, especially experience as editor, VFX supervisor, script, or data wrangler
• Strong communication skills, including fluency in English,
• Basic experience with 3D pipelines,
• Willingness to develop programming or hardware management skills
  
• Very good work organization
• Openness to testing new solutions and a creative approach to problem-solving
  
• Ability to work in a team
  
• Ability to focus under time pressure

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of any scripting language (e.g. Python, HSL, JavaScript)
  
• Relevant education (Computer Science or film-related education)
  
• Understanding of 3D animation pipelines

Responsibilities

• Running motion capture sessions as an operator
• Preparing actors and the stage for shoots
• Working with session directors and clients to adjust shot lists and maintain correct naming conventions
• Ensuring all systems are operating correctly
• Reporting file or hardware issues to specialists during sessions
