I'm the former founder of Turbine, which made MMO games including Lord of the Rings Online, and was bought by Warner Bros. for $160 million.

Now my friends and I are making an AR mobile walking game in Warsaw with a big Hollywood franchise. (It's a secret, but it's one of the big ones, like Harry Potter or Star Wars.) Our advisors include former Lucasfilm COO, Blizzard President, and PlayStation CEO. We do it Mission: Impossible style with insane happy energy!

We are hiring a sound designer for part-time SFX. Top level salary. This is a part-time job, but we'll have ongoing projects indefinitely. We invest in people to be creative and invent the future. We plan to grow 3x in the next year, giving you much more responsibility than other employers to prove yourself and move up!

Responsibilities:

• Work with the producers, VFX, and animators to make high emotional impact, "wow" effects
• Collaborate with the software team to fit the game's FMOD technical requirements
• Collaborate with the game designers on our style and emotional storytelling goals.

Requirements:

• A leader who "gets" the game's vision and goals, and can lead design, not just follow orders.
• Social, makes friends easily. It's a remote job but most of us are around Warsaw and we have occasional fun team meet-ups.
• Able to work quickly. Don't be perfectionist.
• Disciplined sound designer who finishes what you start
• Excited by the challenge of inventing a new category of video game
• Portfolio showcasing strong realistic or semi-realistic SFX
• Ability to produce different styles according to project needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Bonus Skills:

• Can compose music
• Familiarity with Unity or other mobile game engines.
• Contributions to published mobile game titles.

We prefer B2B contracts but other types are fine. We value diversity, and have hired many immigrants into Poland.
