Vercors Games is a Madrid-based studio of industry veterans developing a high-fidelity AA/AAA cross-platform title. We are looking for a Senior Technical Artist to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing tools and workflows to support the creation of scalable, high-quality environments.

🎯 Responsibilities:
Build & Maintain: Develop and maintain procedural and targeted tools for scalable environment asset creation in Unreal Engine and other pipelines.
Unreal Engine 5: Focus on UE5 environment tools, including landscape systems, foliage, spline tools, material workflows, and more.
Visual & Technical Evolution: Contribute to both the visual and technical development of the world, ensuring that systems and gameplay demands are met.
Optimize: Profile and debug complex assets to ensure performance targets are met using tools like Unreal Insights, RenderDoc, or GPU capture.
Collaboration: Work closely with design and art teams to bridge creative ideas with technical implementation.

✅ Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 5+ years as a Technical Artist, with at least one shipped title or high-fidelity demo.
Performance & Optimization: Expert ability to profile and debug using Unreal Insights, RenderDoc, or similar GPU capture tools to ensure target framerates.
UE5 Familiarity: Strong familiarity with Unreal Engine 5’s worldbuilding tools, including PCG, the Material Editor, World Partition, and Level Streaming systems, Virtual Textures, and Shader creation.
3D: Proficiency in texturing and lighting, with working knowledge of tools such as 3ds Max, Blender, and ZBrush.
Scripting: Experience scripting in Python, Blueprints, or similar languages to build tools or automate workflows.
Shaders: Advanced HLSL or node-based shader development for complex surface behaviors.
Engineering: Functional proficiency in C++ and version control systems (e.g., Perforce).
Plus: Experience with other game engines.
Plus: Advanced knowledge of Lumen, Nanite, etc.
