COMPOSITING ARTIST
NOLABEL is looking for a talented Compositing Artist who will be responsible for the aesthetic integrity and quality of the final image for Feature Films, TV series or Commercials. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Combining CG and VFX elements with live-action footage to create a seamless final result
- Collaborating with the VFX Supervisor to understand the intended look and feel of a shot
- Performing all tasks associated with the compositing process
- Maintaining the overall look, colour balance, and quality of assigned shots and sequences
- Managing shot versions and keeping track of final output for delivery
- Ensure aesthetic consistency across each shot
- Determine the best possible techniques in collaboration with the Compositing Lead
- Communicate artistic and technical problems to the 3D Department
- Produce images that meet the high-quality standards of the industry
- Respect deadlines by managing time properly
- Work closely with production to ensure delivery is on time and in the budget
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent knowledge of Nuke
- Knowledge of the overall VFX pipeline and understanding of the production process
- Strong aesthetic skills in judging photo-realism, composition and colour
- Excellent eye for integration issues can discern subtle changes in lighting and colour
- Knowledge of color management and ACES workflow
- Ability to do 2D tracking, keying, layering of elements, and colour grading
- Problem-solving approach with a positive attitude to technical challenges
- To be comfortable with using 3D solutions to enhance 2D compositing tasks
- To be a team player with excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to take direction positively and work well within a team
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Fine Arts foundation skills and interest in cinematography
- Experience in Python is an advantage
- English language skills are preferred
- Familiarity with Flow software
