UE4 Cascade VFX Artist (New Team)

We are looking for a UE4 Cascade VFX Artist to join an entirely new team based in Poland, focused on co-developing titles within the Snail Games USA portfolio.

In this role, you’ll collaborate on an exciting variety of projects, including both well-established IPs and new titles. You'll have a unique opportunity to be part of the studio’s growth and influence its culture from day one while working on creative, dynamic projects with passionate teams from other parts of the world.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement real-time particle systems in UE4’s Cascade, aligning with gameplay and art direction.
• Collaborate with environment artists, animators, and game designers to ensure VFX integrate seamlessly into the game world.
• Iterate on effects based on feedback, maintaining a balance between performance and visual quality.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging VFX techniques.
• Provide accurate time estimates, manage tasks effectively, and meet project milestones.

Requirements

• Proven experience creating in-game VFX with UE4’s Cascade (portfolio or demo reel required).
• Good understanding of particle behavior, materials, and shaders within a real-time engine.
• Basic knowledge of optimization techniques to maintain performance standards.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Ability to adapt quickly, iterate on feedback, and thrive in a fast-paced development environment.

Bonus Skills

• Familiarity with Niagara or other modern VFX tools.
• Experience with advanced shader creation.
• Understanding of Unreal Engine 5’s features.
• Background in art fundamentals (timing, color, composition).
