DATA PREP ARTIST

tudio Katana (branch in Warsaw) is looking for a Data Prep Artist to join our team. As a
Data Prep Artist, you will be responsible for preparing and optimizing 3D asset data for use
in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding to use all
associated software and tools to convert, clean and prepare 3d models, apply data
reduction for optimisation, UV unwrapping and material creation/assignment and a proven
track record of producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of 3D/CAD datasets for use in the media workflow
• Maintenance of reference libraries and asset databases
• Collaboration with Project Lead and department Head to ensure that
asset data meets project requirements
• Creation of Product Approval Sheets for review process
• Optimization of 3D assets for real-time rendering
• Hard surface 3D modeling (CAD or poly)

Requirements:
• Experience in working with CAD data
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and mechanical rigging
• Strong working knowledge of industry standard 3D software (Houdini
and/or 3dsMax, Maya, Blender)
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Substance software (Designer and/or
Painter, Sampler)
• An understanding and ability to create 3d Models from scratch, apply
UV Mapping, create CGI shaders / materials
• Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Additional advantages:
• Ability to script in Python
• Proficient in the use of Houdini, 3ds Max or Blender
• Proficient English language skills (B2 level)
