This data allows us to recreate entire games in a 3D environment, leveraging Unreal Engine 5 to deliver immersive visualizations. We are currently working on establishing an automated animation and rendering pipeline in Unreal Engine 5, which will be able to recreate real-life match sequences in a 3D environment.

To achieve this, we’re looking for a Senior Animation Programmer (freelance, immediate start) who can take our pre-processed player motion data and refine it into high-quality animations inside UE5.

You will be part of a team focused on Unreal Engine. The team will consist of artists, animators, programmers, and project leadership. We are also looking for a team leader, so that would be a plus.

Your role

You will be responsible for:

• Being part of planning a project, proposing solutions, and building very unique technology.
• Creating a pipeline to receive animation data and apply to characters in Unreal Engine
• Creating locomotion and animation systems to fill in gaps in the data
• Improving motion fidelity and ensuring smooth, natural animations
• Delivering a set of short polished sequences for visualization purposes

You will be working within an already prepared Unreal Engine environment, which includes:

• fully built stadium scene
• player models (kits, faces, etc.).
• all necessary assets to visualize the action (we’ll provide or source cartoon assets or effects)

Your focus will be on animation work, not building environments or textures from scratch.

Who you are

• Experienced in Unreal Engine 5 programming.
• Experienced in building locomotion and animation systems.
• Good command of English.

Nice to have:

• Experience working with sports animations (football/soccer preferred).
• Familiarity with rendering techniques.
• Understanding of procedural animation techniques (e.g., Motion Matching, Pose Warping).
• Experience leading a team.
